OFFICIAL OPENING OF VIETFISH INTERNATIONAL SEAFOOD EXHIBITION 2023

With the goal of Quality Connectivity Destination, Vietfish has become a driving force for the industry in the context of declining export turnover and the global economy is facing many challenges.

After 1 year of preparation and waiting, Vietfish 2023 has officially returned with the theme: “Quality Connectivity Destination” with many impressive activities lasting for 3 days, from 23 to 25/8, at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center – SECC (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City). HCM).

This is the largest and most important event of Vietnam’s seafood industry held annually by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) to introduce and honor the values and achievements that the seafood industry has achieved during more than 2 decades; affirming the position and competitiveness for Vietnamese seafood, deserving to be the 3rd largest seafood exporter in the world.

Attending the opening ceremony were the presence of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Phung Duc Tien, representatives of agencies and departments from central to local, Ambassadors, Consuls General of countries, domestic and foreign trade organizations, representatives of many media units,  press reported.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Sac, Chairwoman of VASEP emphasized that Vietfish 2023 has the role of a bridge between domestic enterprises and international businesses and buyers. The event is expected to open up opportunities to find partners to expand the market, creating momentum for Vietnamese seafood enterprises in the context of general difficulties of the economy today.

Vietfish 2023 is impressed by the professionalism of an international exhibition with the display of diverse and beautiful products. Visitors have the opportunity to experience convenient products and diverse flavors that Vietnamese businesses are exporting to more than 165 countries. The investment in beautiful booths, brand identity and professionalism in marketing of businesses have made the difference of Vietfish International Exhibition.

In addition to rich, diversified and delicate products paying attention to consumers’ tastes and aesthetics, the event also introduces many technologies and auxiliary industries to help promote the seafood industry towards high-value products, canned products, processed products, dry or frozen foods. This is a transformation in line with post-Covid consumption trends: convenient, time-saving and keeping the fresh quality of seafood.

Coming to Vietfish, customers can access the entire seafood supply chain in Vietnam and easily find suitable partners, as well as participate in a series of seminars related to the international seafood industry. Speaking at the opening of the event, Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture affirmed: “effective solutions, regional and global orientations to promote Vietnam’s seafood industry to quickly come into practice of production and trade”.

In addition to product promotion and display, the space on the sidelines of the event is thematic seminar programs, creating opportunities to connect trade between Vietnamese businesses and guests at the seminar.

Especially, on the last day of the exhibition, it is open for city consumers to freely shop and visit special culinary experience activities completely free of charge.

Vietfish Exhibition 2023, with more than 420 booths, 220 exhibitors from 14 countries and territories, including: China, USA, Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, Belgium, Australia, Netherlands.
